Global demand for nuclear fuel has been on the rise as artificial intelligence and other energy-intensive technologies gain popularity.
Demand for uranium is expected to grow 28% between 2023 and 2030, according to the World Nuclear Association.
Russia is the largest builder of nuclear power plants abroad, Komarov said, adding that Russian technologies are deployed at 22 out of 25 nuclear power units that are currently under construction.
Later that year, Russia retaliated by temporarily limited exports of enriched uranium to the US.
