Alabaster election for Ward 1 too close to call Published 7:52 pm Tuesday, September 23, 2025Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...By NOAH WORTHAM | Managing EditorALABASTER – After the results of the runoff for the 2025 Alabaster Municipal Election came in on Tuesday night, the results were too close to call and will be confirmed tomorrow. After securing their spot in the runoff election for Alabaster City Council Ward 1, candidate Mike Myers received 261 votes and candidate Gerry J. Bivins received 259 votes on Sept. 23. There are three remaining provisional votes that must be confirmed by the Shelby County Board of Registrars before the election can be called. During the initial election before runoff, Myers received 234 votes, Bivins received 201 votes and Angel Evans received 54 votes. The winner of the Ward 1 runoff election will serve on the next Alabaster City Council alongside Mayor Scott Brakefield and the following individuals:
