Townes said the victory was the result of months of grassroots work, including countless evenings spent with her family knocking on doors across the city. It was after work, with my kids, with my family and we all worked our butts off. “The last few years, the Pelham City Council has been full of division; we don’t need any of that,” she said. “I want to do right by the city of Pelham.”
