Nestle has dismissed CEO Laurent Freixe for failing to disclose a romantic relationship with a subordinate. Freixe has been with the company since 1986 in the field of sales and marketing. Just prior to his CEO reign, he was the EVP, Nestlé S.A., CEO Zone Latin America from 2022-2024. This comes exactly one year after he took the reins, when Nestle ousted his predecessor Mark Schneider. Nestle said Freixe's departure follows an investigation overseen by Chairman Paul Bulcke and Lead Independent Director Pablo Isla into an undisclosed romantic relationship with a direct subordinate, which breached the company's code of business conduct.
