Kraft Heinz is splitting into two companies one decade after the one of the biggest mergers in the food and beverage industry. In a statement the company said the split was to accelerate profitable growth and unlock shareholder value. The two companies, to be finally named at a later date, are:Global Taste Elevation Co., will include brands such as Heinz, Philadelphia cream cheese, and Kraft Mac & Cheese, Kraft Heinz said per AP News. Kraft Heinz said in May that it was conducting a strategic review of the company, signaling a potential split.
