Campbell's Ditching FD&C Colors
['Kristen Kazarian']
powderbulksolids
Campbell's is the latest in a list of food & beverage companies making the change from FD&C colors to naturally derived colors from vegetables, fruits, and more.
The company said in a statement that even though their use of synthetic food colors are limited, in the second half of its 2026 fiscal year (March-August), they will no longer produce any of our food or beverages with FD&C colors.
Campbell's regional snacks brands — including Jay’s, O-Ke-Doke and Tom’s and cookie brands like Archway and Stella D’oro — will also no longer use FD&C colors.
Products with FD&C colors will be off shelf as inventory clears.
The next possible agenda for Kennedy, Jr. could be removing seed oils, such as canola oil, corn oil, flaxseed oil, grapeseed oil, peanut oil, safflower oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil.
