An explosion at a chemical factory in Palghar, India, killed one worker and injured four others on Thursday. The procedure is considered to be highly reactive and triggered the explosion, Vivekanand Kadam, a disaster management official, told local media outlets. Kadam also told local media that one worker was killed on site, two received extensive burns and are hospitalized in critical condition, and two others stationed a bit farther away sustained minor injuries. Additionally, an explosion connected to mixing metals and acid in a zinc factory in Thailand killed two workers and injured dozens of others last year. The blast happened during a chemical mixing process involving lead and sulfuric acid.
