While we initially got our look at the Black Jack anime OVA series earlier in home video form years and years ago, back in 2021 the series finally saw some streaming. The OVA run began in 1993 and were directed by Osamu Dezaki based on the manga by Osamu Tezuka and featured Akio Otsuka as Black Jack and Yuko Mizutani as Pinoko. The series saw an English release and an English dub produced by Animaze for Central Park Media’s release of the show. Plot Concept: Black Jack is an “unregistered” doctor with a clouded, mysterious past.
