The latest Amazon Kindle software update, which includes all the new accessibility features, has been a resounding success. Sideloaded books had invalid ASIN numbers, but this issue has been resolved with a new Calibre update issued on September 5th. The only way to fix this issue is to factory reset the Kindle, which will obviously delete all your content, including sideloaded books. Instead of your library being on the home screen, it now features page after page of recommendations and Amazon trying to sell you more Kindle Books. Still, they reached a breaking point every year since Amazon conducted layoffs of Kindle executives, engineers, programmers, and the book recommendations team.
