On September 19, 2025, the New York State Police announced the Autism Awareness Visor Card Program. New York State patrol vehicles are being equipped with the Autism Awareness Visor Card to assist with communication and reduce confusion or fear during an interaction. The card is also available as a download for the public through the New York State Police public website.
