Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is the latest adaptation of Mary Shelley’s 1818 Gothic horror novel. Though at times overwrought, Frankenstein is a macabre spectacle that brings its source material to life. Frankenstein premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 30th August 2025.
