Many Holy Cross residents remain adamantly opposed to the “revitalization” of the Alabo Street Wharf, a warehouse along the Mississippi River owned by the Port of New Orleans. Part of the problem is that the Alabo Wharf is owned by the Port of New Orleans, a state entity. Sunrise Foods requested that the final minor source air permit decision be made “as quickly as possible.”
