The province has announced that it is contributing $354,000 toward a walking and cycling path in Ste. Anne through the Manitoba Growth, Renewal and Opportunities for Municipalities (Manitoba GRO) program. “Funding through the Manitoba GRO program helps municipalities like the Town of Ste. Anne applied for GRO funding for Phase 2 of the Traverse Road active transportation project, which involves the construction of a new path along Traverse Road, as well as upgraded land drainage and storm sewers along the route. The project is part of the town’s master recreation plan, which aims to expand active transportation routes throughout the community, noted the minister.
