The manslaughter trial of Meggin Van Hoof continued into its second week Monday with testimony from Rose-Anne Van De Wiele, mother of 15-month-old Nathaniel McLellan. Nathaniel died in October 2015 after being picked up from Van Hoof’s unlicensed daycare in Strathroy. He was later found to have suffered a fatal head injury. Van Hoof, now 46, was charged in 2021 with manslaughter and has pleaded not guilty. The trial continues today.
