Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Strathroy, Komoka, and western Middlesex County. Meteorologists are tracking a cluster of strong storms capable of producing heavy rainfall. Communities that may be affected include Parkhill, Lucan, Ailsa Craig, Sable, Sylvan, Bornish, Moray, Lieury, West McGillivray, Brinsley, Mooresville, Clandeboye, and Whalen Corners. Heavy downpours may cause flash flooding and poor visibility on the roads. Emergency Management Ontario is reminding residents that severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when storms are imminent or already occurring and are expected to bring damaging wind, hail, or rain.
