One of the most prestigious university ranking lists in the country, The Guardian University Guide has released its latest league table results for 2026, with one of Gloucestershire's very own scoring its highest-ever position.
The University of Gloucestershire climbs a whopping 32 places to number 68 out of 123 – one of the guide's biggest risers this year.
The Guardian annually ranks 123 of the country's higher education institutes, based on teaching quality, student feedback, value-added scores, staff to student ratios and graduate outcomes.
Alongside the overall rise, the University of Gloucestershire also achieved subject-level success, with its paramedic science program ranking ninth nationally; its English program ranking 10th; its hospitality, event management and tourism program ranking 13th; its geography program 16th; and its interior design program ranking 19th.
Vice-chancellor and CEO of the University of Gloucestershire, Dame Clare Marchant, said: 'We are absolutely delighted with this year’s results in The Guardian University Guide.
