Frampton-on-Severn's The Three Horseshoes pub is back under family ownership, as plans for its revival are officially set in motion. Purchased by the son of Alison and Easton Hogben of Quality Inns, 29-year-old Redford 'Red' Hogben, the pub was once owned by Red's grandfather, Ron, from 1978 until 1987. An ACV protects 'a building or piece of land that is used to further the social wellbeing or interests of the local community', so that the community's wishes are taken into account when officials come to consider future planning applications. Commenting on his first purchase, Red said: 'I’m excited to bring The Horseshoes back to life and back into our family again. 'It has played an important role in the village for generations and to be part of the pub’s next chapter feels special.
