The Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club has announced the September recipients of the Don Haisten Student and Teacher of the Month Awards, sponsored by Full Moon BBQ – Trussville. Purnell chose Lisa Smith, Career Coach at Hewitt-Trussville High School, as this month’s Teacher of the Month. Smith’s compassion and commitment have helped me gain knowledge and insight about opportunities here in high school as well as preparing me for life after high school,” Purnell said.
