ARLINGTON, VA. – Two updates on animal activism and increased efforts and funding targeting the meat processing industry were announced by the Animal Agriculture Alliance earlier this week. One of the updates the alliance highlighted was from new data in the Radical Vegan Activism report and the other from the Major Animal Activist Groups Web. The Major Animal Activist Groups Web details the animal activists’ strategy of creating an interconnected network of associations and organizations, while the Radical Vegan Activism report includes trends and tactics used by activists today and highlights their common goals. Updates to the Radical Vegan Activism report concluded that approximately one in four attacks from animal rights extremists target farmers and food workers. The updated Major Animal Activist Groups Web report highlights some of the most active and extreme activist groups leading the charge of the vegan and animal activist movement.
