WASHINGTON — The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert on a ready-to-eat product previously sold by Trader Joe’s due to concerns the turkey wrap product could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The FSIS does not typically request a recall for products that are no longer available for sale, which is the reason for the alert. The product, Trader Joe’s Turkey Gobbler Wrap, was produced on Sept. 10, 2025, and the potential contamination was reported to the FSIS by the establishment after food contact surfaces used in the processing of the product tested positive for Listeria. The product that is subject to the public health alert included 10 oz clear clamshell packages of “Trader Joe’s Turkey Gobbler Wrap,” with a best by date of Sept. 16, 2025. The products were delivered to Trader Joe’s locations across the United States.
