Volvo has upgraded its flagship EX90 electric SUV for the 2026 model year, adding in faster charging and a range of new driver support features. Powered by the Swedish company’s new 800V electric system, compared to the previous model year’s 400V system, the updated EX90 can now charge faster thanks to reduced heat generation during charging. On top of that, the 800V technology delivers more power for faster acceleration, while using energy more efficiently. At the same time, a core computer upgrade enables new and improved safety, collision avoidance and driver support features. Once the car is stationary, the new e-call feature will automatically connect the car to an emergency call centre linked to Volvo Cars.
