Tom Holland Suffers Mild Concussion on ‘Spider-Man’ Set, Filming Halted for One Week

Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit the brakes Friday (September 19) after Tom Holland was rushed to the hospital in Glasgow following a stunt gone wrong, according to Deadline.
The 28-year-old Marvel star suffered what’s being called a “mild concussion,” and while he was only hospitalized briefly, doctors advised a short rest period.
Out of caution, Sony Pictures decided to pause filming for a full week rather than try to shoot without its lead web-slinger, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
The break won’t delay the movie’s release—Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still slated to hit theaters July 31, 2026—but it does give Tom a chance to recharge.
Marvel fans can breathe easy: with only a mild concussion and a week’s rest, Holland is expected back on set soon, ready to swing back into action—and we can all keep that July 2026 date circled in red.
