Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Lee County will receive $5.7 million in state funding for housing and wastewater projects. Lee County will receive $2.5 million for infrastructure development of 115 housing units and $3.2 million for a wastewater project. The housing project in Ewing will consist of 55 townhomes, 38 duplexes, 9 triplexes and 13 cottages. The Western Lee Wastewater Project will see the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, processing 300,000 gallons a day. According to the governor’s press release, the wastewater project will serve up to 735 residents, businesses, and institutions.
