STRATFORD Town secured their first league win of the season against Alvechurch after seeing their other bank holiday fixture abandoned. That came after Stratford saw their home match against Bishop’s Stortford abandoned due to an injury to a visiting player at the Arden Garages Stadium. Bishop’s Stortford’s Harry Titchmarsh suffered a serious injury in the final few minutes which led to the abandonment of the fixture. An outcome for the fixture is yet to be determined with Bishop’s Stortford leading 2-1 in injury time. That came after the club’s weekend fixture against Bishop’s Stortford ended in an abandonment.
