THE NATION’S ducks are being celebrated in the latest special collection of Royal Mail stamps, writes Oliver Cureton- Phillips. The company has announced the selection which depicts a range of wild and domestic ducks, ready for collectors to snap up. The featured ten duck breeds on the stamps can be found throughout UK’s natural environment, from rivers and wetlands to coastal estuaries. The mallard, the world’s most common duck, is widespread across the UK and is the ancestor of most domesticated duck breeds.
