MP MANUELA Perteghella is calling for actions not words after raising concerns about the delays to road improvements along the A46 with highways chiefs. The Stratford MP has received a formal response from the chief executive of National Highways after writing to raise serious concerns about long-standing safety issues and delays to road improvements along the route between Stratford and Evesham. In response, the National Highways CEO acknowledged the importance of the A46 corridor and confirmed that the agency is continuing to work closely with local authorities, developers and Midlands Connect. “For years now, local people have raised safety concerns, questioned the lack of speed enforcement, and called for proper investment in the A46. “I welcome the fact that National Highways have replied and acknowledged the need for better communication.
