The Bank of Namibia has announced that Deputy Governor Leonie Dunn was appointed to the global Board of Directors for the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI). Her appointment is a significant milestone that highlights Namibia’s growing influence and leadership in global financial inclusion policy. Dunn will represent the Bank on the AFI Board as stipulated in Article 18 of the AFI Articles of Association. his announcement follows the recently concluded AFI Global Policy Forum, hosted in Swakopmund, Namibia, from 2–5 September. I am humbled by the opportunity to contribute to the global financial inclusion agenda through AFI’s distinguished platform.
