The Erongo Regional Council’s (ERC) Chief Regional Officer Sam Ntelamo recently launched the council’s five-year strategic plan for the 2025 to 2030 period in Swakopmund. Ntelamo highlighted the important role that strategic planning plays in defining the organisation’s future and setting its priorities and aligning its resources to achieve maximum value. Ntelamo added that the plan aligns with key instruments of the government like Vision 2030 and the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6). The strategic plan is supported by a N$487.7 million budget for the course of the five years. The budget is made up of an operational budget of N$183 million, a development budget of N$49.87 million, Wlotzkasbaken funds amounting to N$26.55 million as well as a rural development budget of N$3.56 million.
