Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) has initiated a safety recall for certain 2025 and 2026 model year Ford Ranger vehicles. In affected vehicles, the anti-lock brake system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and brake warning lights will illuminate, accompanied by an audible alert and informational messages in the instrument cluster. The recall impacts a total of 5,676 vehicles across Southern Africa, with 157 in Namibia, 5,387 in South Africa, 113 in Botswana, and 19 in Eswatini/Swaziland. FMCSA is directly contacting affected customers and advising them to schedule an appointment with their preferred dealership.
