Promoting World Suicide Prevention Month in September, Debmarine Namibia’s staff gathered this week as guests of the Khomas Regional Office of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. In collaboration with the Khomas Suicide Prevention Taskforce, the diamond miner encouraged all its staff to participate in a session to gain knowledge on preventing and reducing suicide. In a statement released after the gathering, Debmarine said the majority of its staff attended the open talk in person, while others joined remotely from within and outside Windhoek and across the country through virtual platforms. The session featured key information and discussions on identifying and addressing suicidal thoughts and mental health challenges.
