MTC Maris, a financial technology subsidiary of MTC Namibia, recently held a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofelus to introduce its business and explore potential areas for collaboration.
The meeting focused on how the two organizations can work together to promote and accelerate the broader adoption of digital transactions in Namibia.
MTC Maris’ Board Chairperson, Jerome Namaseb, led the team, which presented the company’s innovations and solutions to the minister.
“There is a need for us as a country to build public confidence in digital transactions.
And we can do so by starting to address challenges such as online scams, complex financial terms, and language barriers, among others.”Launched in October 2024, MTC Maris is a cutting-edge mobile payment platform that lets users make financial transactions and manage their funds right from their phones.
