Namibia defeated São Tomé and Príncipe by a 3-0 scoreline during Group H of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification action at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana last week. Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Peter Shalulile scored a hat-trick against São Tomé and Príncipe, to keep the Brave Warriors in second place in Group H on 15 points. The win follows a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Malawi during a previous qualification match a week earlier at the same venue, which hampered Namibia’s World Cup ambitions. Brave Warriors head coach, Collin Benjamin said his team showed good character by claiming a deserved win against São Tomé and Príncipe. Group H ‘whipping boys’, São Tomé and Príncipe have lost all eight of their World Cup qualifiers scoring only four goals, while conceding 20 in the process.
