Major marine fuel supplier, Monjasa announced the launch of its first cadetship programme for prospective sailors in Namibia. This programme is the first of its kind and is a joint undertaking between Monjasa, Montec and the Namibian Maritime and Fisheries Institute (NAMFI). Last week, six NAMFI cadets were taken onboard to start their 12-month training at sea. “This cadetship programme is about investing in people, empowering young Namibians with the skills and experience they need to build maritime careers. By doing so, not only are we strengthening our operations in the region but also helping to build a more inclusive and sustainable maritime sector for the long term,” said Monjasa Namibia General Manager, Nazeem Stuart.
