The Road Fund Administration (RFA) announced on Wednesday that it will write off over N$371 million in prescribed vehicle license fee debt. According to RFA Chief Executive Ali Ipinge, the amendments state that any vehicle debt older than three years is now considered “prescribed” under the Prescription Act. For unprescribed debt, vehicle owners may apply for a waiver of interest and penalties on these outstanding amounts, while principal vehicle license fees remain payable. Ipinge urged vehicle owners to seize this opportunity to update their vehicle license status.
