King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel has joined a growing list of properties which have closed in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Royal Kona Resort, in downtown Kailua Village, is also closed until further notice, most likely April 30, 2020. Most hotels on the island have closed. Hawaii Island Visitor Bureau reports other hotels currently open include Hilton Waikoloa, Fairmont Orchid, Grand Naniloa, the Hilo Hawaiian, and the Manago Hotel.
