Earlier this month, Austin, Texas-based Outpost, a national network of truck terminals, said that in partnership with GreenPoint, a real assets investment firm, announced the investment of additional capital, which now increases the scale of Outpost’s terminal platform to $1 billion.
Outpost explained that its platform meshes physical sites, operations, and technology into a national network of terminals that enable fleets to scale more efficiently and reduce costs.
“This investment allows us to accelerate the expansion of our terminal network,” said Cameron.
“We’re also expanding the services we offer at our terminals, including office space, cross-docking, maintenance, warehouse space, and fuel,” he said.
Last month, Outpost rolled out a new gate automation platform, geared towards various supply chain stakeholders, including shippers, enterprise fleets, and terminal operators, which it said addresses what it called significant avoidable costs.
