TSMC has secured up to fifteen clients for its 2nm (N2) process node, of which ten will focus on high-performance computing (HPC) products. Among the potential clients are major names in the high-performance computing and artificial intelligence industries, such as GPU manufacturers, processor designers, and companies producing ASICs for cloud services. The fact that most initial clients are tied to high-performance computing reflects a change in trend.
