The man was rescued from the water at Hanbury Wharf, near Droitwich on Sunday evening after the emergency services attended a 'concern for welfare' incident. A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a patient in the water near to Hanbury Road at 10.20pm last night. Once out of the water he was treated by ambulance staff and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment." A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We received a call around 10.15pm yesterday evening (Sunday) following the concern for the welfare of a man at Hanbury Wharf, Droitwich Spa. "Officers arrived and the man was taken to safety and left in the care of the appropriate health service."
