The teenagers fled, stopping off at the address to bleach the knife, Mr Edwards said. The 16-year-old was initially calm and was attempted to direct his co-defendant, Mr Edwards said, but then became aggressive with officers. The 17-year-old said Mr Aman had “unexpectedly rushed” at his friend and was using his keys as a weapon.
