A couple of first-time goal scorers helped the Kemptville 73’s defeat the Carleton Place Canadians over the weekend. Both Konrad Karon and Nolan Tym picked up their first markers in the Central Canada Hockey League in Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon as the 73’s beat the Canadians 5-2. Will Mullins, Nicholas Voisey and Alexis Beaulieu, into an empty net, also scored and Rylan Donovan stopped 23 out of the 25 shots he faced. The win followed a 6-4 Kemptville loss to Nepean at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Friday night. The 73’s currently sit fourth in the CCHL with a record of 20GP-11W-8L-1 Overtime Loss for 23 Points.
