FONOM says that’s an important milestone that recognizes the national significance of the Timmins area project and its potential to drive economic growth and clean energy development in Northern Ontario. “Northern Ontario has a central role to play in supplying the critical minerals needed for electric vehicles, clean technology, and national security,” said Dave Plourde, President of FONOM. “The Crawford Project brings together economic development, environmental innovation, and meaningful partnerships with First Nations,” says Plourde. “Northern Ontario has the talent, capability, and history of delivering for Canada.
