The Alert Ready emergency alert system will be tested nationwide this week, including Perth County. The testing is being done to ensure the system is working in the event of an actual emergency. Perth County said the test message will happen over TVs, radios and compatible wireless devices this Wednesday at 12:55 p.m. This makes the second test of the system this year, as the last one took place on May 7 during Emergency Preparedness Week.
