Article content“We are encouraging everyone to ensure their vehicles and outbuildings are locked when not in use to prevent would-be thieves from accessing your property,” police said in the post, adding people should keep exterior lights on, install security cameras and remove all valuables from their vehicles at night. “We agree, people shouldn’t take things that don’t belong to them, and we shouldn’t have to lock our property up, but sadly there will always be people who take advantage of others. We can’t stop people from stealing but we can take steps to ensure we aren’t the next victim,” the post said.
