Their presentation highlighted the vital role the Disaster Recovery Team plays in preparing for and responding to natural disasters, infrastructure failures, and unexpected crises. Local agencies, first responders, and organizations like the Lions Club play a key role in strengthening emergency response systems, they noted. Lions Club members expressed appreciation for the presentation and for the service of the men and women stationed at Barksdale. The Bossier City Lions Club meets weekly and regularly hosts speakers from across the parish to foster civic engagement, education, and connection within the community.
