During a previous hearing, the Court had sought responses from the union Government and SEBI regarding Sahara’s request for approval to sell the assets. The court directed that the amicus shall prepare a classification chart identifying disputed properties, properties free of claims, and properties with unclear ownership. The court directed Sahara to examine the pending wage claims of its workers. A term sheet has been executed with Adani Properties for the sale of 88 properties, subject to Court approval. While Sahara claims to have deposited substantial sums, SEBI maintains that over Rs 9,000 crore is still outstanding.
