Two Brownie units and Rainbows kicked off a year of environmental stewardship with a coastal cleanup near Baileys Bay. A spokesperson said, “A recent coastal cleanup provided a perfect start to a year of conservation and environmental stewardship for Brownies and Rainbows from two units. “First Devonshire/First Smiths Brownies and Rainbows and volunteers from Somersfield Academy Brownies spent a Sunday afternoon cleaning up a rocky coastal area near Baileys Bay Cricket Club in Hamilton Parish. “The two Brownie leaders who organized the cleanup were Brown Owl Cathy Bassett of First Devonshire/First Smiths Brownies and Rainbows and Brown Owl Ashley Phipps of Somersfield Academy Brownies. “Both leaders will be working together on future projects about environmental conservation and stewardship throughout the year.”Read More AboutCategory: All, Environment, News
