The incident, THE WHISTLER gathered, occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the suspect tried to move the motorcycle before he was caught. “He deliberately attempted to take a parked motorcycle and was caught,” he told THE WHISTLER. Efforts to reach the state police spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, were unsuccessful, as calls, SMS, and WhatsApp messages sent to him remained unanswered at press time. On August 23, 2025, a similar incident in the town sparked outrage when another suspect was set on fire near Mokwa General Hospital.
