Bassett moved to upstate New York for adventure and to search for opportunities outside of Salt Lake City. She became close with the local scene of Orange County and was playing acoustic music around the area. Songs such as “I Can Tell Already” are love songs to her friends in New York, whereas “Small Lake City” is Bassett’s ode to Salt Lake.
