Radio & Television Business Report
Nearly 3.5 million Denver-area sports fans can continue to watch their hometown basketball and hockey teams on free television.
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment has extended its broadcast partnership with TEGNA, ensuring 40 Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games will air this season across two channels.
The deal provides for 20 Nuggets games and 20 Avalanche games to air locally on 9NEWS (KUSA) and My20 (KTVD) this season.
All 40 games will air on KTVD, with five Nuggets and five Avalanche games simulcast on 9NEWS, the city’s NBC affiliate.
“The response last year exceeded our expectations, and we’re proud to once again provide Denver fans with the ability to watch their beloved Nuggets and Avs play.”
