Denmark and Edel warn that Pillar Two’s ‘priority technology areas’ are ‘too broad and unfocused.’The observation isn’t new. The CSIS report proposes concentrating on three capabilities: autonomy, long-range strike and integrated air and missile defence (IAMD). Australia’s defence industry must adapt accordingly. Pillar Two should be expanded to IAMD, even though it is not now a priority technology area in AUKUS.
